How we work
Research Questions
Every Leaf project start with a question with can be social technical or business related, which aims to Push the limit of AI Technology and their practical Application
Question Exploration
In this step leaf goes out in our community and talk to domain experts with the aim of understanding the applied field better and break down the research questions into sub questions that are manageable.
Team setup
With the questions broken down into manageable projects a team is formed around them with the Standard team makeup: PHD/Masters Students as team Project Leaders, Bachelor students as Team Members each working on the project on there on level.
Company Invitation
We Invite Companies that can add value to our projects and our project to their Company. if the company accept they become a leafnl partner
Company Participation
The Level and type of participation will vary from company to Company. This may include providing funds, technology, tools or domain knowledge
The Project
This stage is where we add the biggest value, projects can last upto 3-5 years to complete.The goal is to build a prototype at the end with an impact assessment of the project on society or business model.
YEARLY PRESENTATION
An Event that gives an update on all current projects being done in leafnl. This will be mostly technical and the target group are Companies Scientist and Engineers
Testing
Is the real-life deployment of our prototype to test the practicality of the solution. This deployment will be 1 to 3 months in length
Demo
Yearly Showcase of all projects ever done by leafnl. This will give the public the ability to see and interact with our prototypes. This could be part of bigger dutch events like dutch design week or dutch technology week etc
